IMGL 2019 Autumn Conference, Munich

Joseph F. Borg (Partner), Ramona Azzopardi (Partner), Ewa Lejman (Head of Polish Desk) and Robert Skalina (Head of Czech and Slovak Desks) are attending the The International Masters of Gaming Law (IMGL) 2019 Autumn Conference.

Ramona Azzopardi will join the "Tax Responsibility – New trends in the taxation of gambling in Europe and across the pond" panel on Thursday, September 12, from 16:15. The panel discusses current tax developments in Europe and across the pond and addresses the question of a reasonable taxation of gambling activities.

Joseph F. Borg will speak on the "Regulatory Best Practices - Guidance of former gaming regulators finding themselves now on the other side" panel, scheduled to take place on Friday, September 13, from 12:00. The panel will discuss  former and current regulatory practices with the benefit of hindsight. The panel, made up of former gaming regulators, now find themselves in different spheres of the gaming and betting industry, and are therefore in the ideal position to comment on current and former regulatory practices, especially, considering what they have learned whilst being ‘on the other side’.

The IMGL Autumn 2019 Conference will be held in Munich, Germany.
