The Malta Gaming Authority (MGA) published a set of guidelines with respect to the technical infrastructure for the remote gaming licensees hosting gaming and control systems, following a public consultation and assessing the feedback received.

With more operators opting for multiple licences, and with online gaming operators often selecting to place their servers in jurisdictions outside the one in which they are licensed, different control requirements have been created. Further complications may be experienced with cloud solutions.

The purpose of these guidelines is to guide operators on the Authority’s compliance objectives and considerations when assessing an applicant’s, or a licensee’s technical set-up.

The guidelines can be accessed here.
