WH Partners have the pleasure to announce that Samuel Gauci has joined WH Partners as a Senior Associate.

Sam joins WH Partners from the Malta Gaming Authority (MGA) where for the past six years he formed part of the MGA’s Legal Directorate ultimately performing the role of Head of Legal Affairs.  At the MGA Sam, and his team were responsible for legal queries and matters referred to the Legal Directorate from within the MGA, from consultants, advisors and licensees. In the months prior to his departure from the MGA Sam also temporarily assumed the position of Acting Chief Officer – Authorisations with responsibility  for all matters pertaining to  licensing, requests for approvals, renewals and terminations of licensees. Sam’s experience covers remote and land-based gaming both from a legal and practical perspective.

Prior to joining the MGA, Sam led the legal team at the Government Property Division, in which role he advised the Commissioner of Land (CoL) on all legal matters related to government owned property and represented the CoL in litigation before the Courts of Malta.

Sam graduated from the University of Malta in 2005 as a Doctor of Laws and was admitted to the Bar the following year.
