Daphne Ann is an Associate lawyer at WH Partners and mainly practices in the commercial, corporate, data protection and technology law areas.

Before joining the firm in May 2016, Daphne Ann was an Associate at Camilleri Preziosi, where she had previously been a trainee.  She gained valuable experience in various matters including assisting in due diligence projects and drafting legal documents and contracts with respect to joint ventures, settlements, licences, non-disclosure of confidential information, lease agreements and business-to-business agreements which included tool-purchasing and consignment stock contracts.  She also assisted and advised clients on various matters including debt collection and data protection matters, in particular the transfer of data outside the European Union.

Daphne Ann has been involved in various other projects including assisting a client with carrying out a GAP analysis and advising on the preparation and implementation of the new General Data Protection Regulation. She was responsible for the registration of an array of trademarks, assisting in drafting several publications on intellectual property, assisting in drafting documents for a shipping acquisition transaction and contributing to drafting a telecommunications law regulation. Additionally, Daphne Ann carried out a considerable amount of research in the above-mentioned areas as well as in European law, competition and consumer law, environment and planning development law, public procurement law, energy law and tax law.

Prior to that, Daphne Ann had legal practice experience, including court practice experience, at Woods Advocates.

Daphne Ann graduated as a Doctor of Laws from the University of Malta in 2014, after having submitted her thesis entitled The Home Loan Regulations: A Higher Degree of Consumer Protection?. She studied Finance law and Tax law at the University of Southampton, UK as part of an Erasmus Exchange programme and is currently reading for a Master of Laws at the University of London, specialising in Computer and Communications law. Daphne Ann is a member of the Malta Chamber of Advocates and was admitted to the Bar in Malta in 2015.

In her spare time, Daphne Ann enjoys keeping active by taking part in sports activities, as well as relaxing with friends and family.  She has a keen interest in the performing arts and is an avid dog lover.
