Associate/Junior Lawyer – Litigation
Due to the continued growth of our litigation practice, we are currently seeking to recruit an Associate / Junior Associate, to join our litigation team.
The Job
The selected candidate will be expected to carry out all Litigation-related duties, including but not limited to:
- Conducting initial case investigations and assessments to determine legal strategies and case viability
- Participating in pre-litigation settlement negotiations to resolve matters efficiently
- Drafting and filing court pleadings, motions, and other legal documents
- Collecting, reviewing, and analysing written witness statements for evidentiary value
- Representing clients in alternative dispute resolution forums, including mediation and arbitration
- Applying legal knowledge and precedent to argue cases persuasively
- Performing additional tasks and legal research as assigned by the Partner or Managing Associate
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have:
- A Degree in Law
- Admission to the Maltese Bar
- A minimum of three years’ experience, with a background in court practice
- Excellent communication skills with a strong command of both Maltese and English (written and spoken)
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and tight deadlines independently
