We are seeking to recruit a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), to be a strategic key player in the financial management of our organisation, having oversight of finances, accounting, internal reporting, forecasting, and credit control.

The Job
As CFO you will be expected to handle a wide range of responsibilities, including but not limited to:

  • Assisting the CEO and partners in all tasks necessary to achieve the firm’s mission and growth plans
  • Actively contributing to the overall strategic plan by proposing financial strategy
  • Developing a liquidity strategy for the firm, including cash flow reporting, forecasting, and management planning
  • Improving internal financial process controls
  • Monitoring current governance practices with a view to continuous improvement and implementing performance, management and financial reporting systems and capabilities accordingly
  • Ensuring timely and accurate accounting and reporting of financial results for each business segment as well as on a consolidated basis
  • Overseeing and managing our billing system, accounts receivables, collections and accounts payables, outsourced finance and accounting functions, as applicable
  • Completing all required reporting dashboards (weekly, monthly and annual as requested) for management as well as third parties as instructed by the CEO
  • Contributing to the preparation, maintenance and analysis of budgets and financial forecasting models, monthly budget-to-actual reporting to promote active budget management by all departments within the company
  • Recommending and championing potential cost reduction efforts throughout the firm
  • Fostering and cultivating relationships with external entities and service providers the firm engages with, partaking in dialogues and negotiations on behalf of the firm
  • Working closely with the CEO and management to support the documentation and review of legal documents, including contracts entered into by our organisation
  • Exhibiting exemplary work ethics, and preserving the company’s culture of honesty and integrity
  • Leading all financial strategic planning and forecasting efforts throughout the year to include 3-year planning, 5-year planning, annual budget, and quarterly forecasts.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will be a fully qualified Accountant and possess:

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a finance management role
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills
  • A proactive problem solver with proven analytical skills and an eye for detail
  • The ability to organise and co-ordinate processes, tasks and people
  • The ability to work well on own initiative
