Trainee

We are looking for a Trainee to undertake a professional training programme at our office in Rome, working alongside a dynamic and highly qualified legal team in an international and multidisciplinary environment. The Job
The candidate will have the opportunity to undertake a training programme, both in transactional matters (with a particular focus on commercial and corporate law) and litigation matters (commercial) involving national and international clients.The Trainee will be involved in various legal projects and initiatives across several industries, mentored by experienced professionals who will continuously support their learning and training. The activities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Conducting in-depth analysis and research on complex legal issues, and monitoring regulatory and case law developments within the firm’s key practice areas
  • Supporting the drafting of legal documents, including commercial contracts, judicial acts, company resolutions, legal opinions, and memoranda, under the supervision of senior lawyers
  • Assisting with the preparation and management of files and related requirements, including compliance activities, the development of contract templates, the preparation of client presentations, and the drafting of legal articles and publications
  • Participating, alongside the firm’s professionals, in client meetings, negotiation sessions, notarial signings, and transaction closings
  • Contributing to legal due diligence processes in M&A transactions, including document review and the preparation of due diligence reports
  • Supporting preparatory activities for hearings and litigation matters, including the collection and organisation of procedural documentation.
Requirements
The preferred candidate for this role should possess:

  • A Law degree obtained within the standard timeframe with a final grade higher than 105, or be in the process of completing the degree
  • A strong interest in commercial and corporate law
  • Italian native speaker, fluent in English (both written and spoken); knowledge of an additional foreign language will be considered an asset
  • Excellent analytical skills, precision, and a strong team-oriented attitude
  • Attention to detail and strong organisational skills
  • Proficiency with IT tools, including the Microsoft Office Suite, online research tools and legal databases, and familiarity with prompting AI systems.
