Organised by the International Association of Gaming Advisors (IAGA), the summit brings together leaders from across the global gaming industry to discuss the most significant issues shaping the sector.
On 2nd June, Robert Zammit will participate in the panel ‘Adjusting Compliance Programs to Address Cryptocurrency Risks in Gambling’, which will examine the increasing use of cryptocurrency across the gambling industry and the corresponding compliance and regulatory challenges this presents for both online and land-based operators.
The discussion will explore how regulated markets are approaching the adoption of digital assets while balancing concerns relating to financial crime, customer anonymity, AML obligations, transaction monitoring, and broader regulatory oversight. The session will also address practical measures operators can implement to strengthen compliance frameworks and mitigate evolving cryptocurrency-related risks within gambling environments.
