On 28 May, Quirino Mancini, Group Strategic Advisor – Gambling, Media and Sport, will speak on the panel in the panel ‘The New Rules of Italian iGaming’, which will examine the impact of ongoing regulatory reforms on the Italian market, including key developments relating to licensing, compliance, taxation, and the broader opportunities and challenges shaping the next phase of Italian iGaming.
On the same day, he will also participate in the panel ‘Prediction Markets vs. Traditional Betting: Will North America Rewrite the Rules?’, exploring whether the rise of prediction markets in North America represents true innovation or regulatory arbitrage, and what this could mean for Europe’s established betting landscape.
Joseph Borg and Galyna Podoprikhina will also be speaking at NEXT Focus: Crypto, a dedicated event within NEXT.io Summit Valletta taking place on 26 May. This half-day summit will explore the expanding role of digital assets within the iGaming sector.
Joseph will join the panel “White Market Dreams, Black Market Reality”, examining how crypto casinos are challenging traditional market perceptions and whether regulation will drive the sector into the white market or leave parts of it operating outside formal frameworks, alongside the risks and incentives around licensing.
