Charlotte Attard
Charlotte is a senior associate and lead immigration at WH Partners.
Charlotte focuses on providing specialized assistance to private clients and high net worth individuals. Her expertise lies in guiding clients through the process of exploring and securing different residence statuses and citizenships.
Additionally, Charlotte extends her legal expertise to advising companies on various employment related matters, including but not limited to contract negotiations, employee rights and obligations and workplace policies, offering strategic counsel to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.
Charlotte also assists private clients in navigating the complexities of establishing Maltese trusts or foundations. She helps clients evaluate and implement these structures for effective estate planning strategies.
Charlotte was conferred a Bachelor of Laws in 2014 and a Diploma of Notary Public in 2015, both from the University of Malta, before obtaining a Doctor of Laws from the same University in November 2017. As part of her studies, Charlotte submitted her thesis entitled ‘The Development of a Trade Secret Rule’ where a critical analysis ensued on the Trade Secrets Directive.
In 2018, Charlotte successfully obtained a foundation certificate in ‘Trusts Law and Management’ organized by the Institute of Financial Services Practitioners which helped her solidify her knowledge and expertise in setting up and administering trusts and foundations. Charlotte is currently studying to obtain her STEP Diploma, which will enable her to continue assisting clients with planning their assets across generations.
