Lara Savona is a Junior Associate within the Fintech and Financial Services team at WH Partners.
Lara’s core areas of interest and expertise include financial institutions (electronic money institutions (EMIs) and payment service providers) and crypto-asset service providers. She supports both established and emerging clients in navigating complex regulatory EU and local frameworks and securing the necessary authorisations to operate within the financial sector.
Before joining WH Partners, Lara gained valuable experience over two years in litigation and dispute resolution. During this time, she advised on a wide range of commercial, civil and corporate law matters, building a strong foundation in dispute resolution on various matters.
Lara holds a Bachelor of Economics (Honours) and a Master of Arts in Economics from the University of Malta. Over the course of her professional journey, spanning more than 20 years, she developed in-depth expertise in business advisory, financial analysis, and strategic planning, working closely with companies across various industries.
Driven by her interest in law and regulation, Lara pursued further academic qualifications, earning a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) degree in 2022 and subsequently completing the Master of Advocacy in 2023, both from the University of Malta. She was admitted to the Maltese Bar in June 2024.
