Maria is a trainee lawyer who joined WH Partners in the summer of 2024.
Maria is a trainee interested in tax law and dispute resolution. She graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) degree in 2024 with her dissertation entitled ‘The Crimes of Abortion and Infanticide: the Position of different Jurisdictions’ where she focused on and compared the positions of Malta, the United Kingdom, and a number of states from the United States of America. In her dissertation she analysed the different elements required to constitute an offence and delved into the punishment that is imposed by the three jurisdictions whilst analysing case law.
Maria is currently reading for a Masters in Advocacy degree at the University of Malta.
