Ramona Cassar is a Partner and Head of Tax & Private Client at WH Partners. She is one of Malta’s foremost taxation lawyers, recognised across leading independent legal directories for her expertise.
She is ranked Band 1 for Tax in Malta in the Chambers Europe 2026 guide and is listed as “Highly Regarded” in World Tax 2026, where she is also recognised as a “Women in Tax Leader.” She is further ranked in the Private Wealth Law category of the Chambers High Net Worth Guide and recommended in the Private Client category by The Legal 500.
Ramona’s practice covers both direct and indirect taxation, with a strong focus on cross-border transactions, complex structuring, corporate reorganisations, and tax disputes. She also advises private clients on wealth management and international relocation and provides strategic tax advice to high-profile international athletes and entertainers.
Ramona plays an active role in the international tax community. She is an Officer of the International Bar Association’s Taxes Committee and a former National Reporter for Malta. She is a regular speaker at international conferences organised by the IBA’s Tax and Private Client Committees. In Malta, she serves as a Council Member of the Malta Institute of Taxation, chairs its Tax Technology Committee, and lectures in advanced taxation at the University of Malta.
