Robert is a seasoned attorney with over 20 years of experience in providing legal advice across various sectors, including commercial and corporate law, cross-border M&A transactions, complex debt financing transactions, gambling/gaming, sports, and intellectual property.
Robert advises on a wide range of international corporate finance transactions and merger and acquisition transactions. He has extensive experience advising the full range of stakeholders across the capital structure, including banks, private equity sponsors and corporates, on various financing transactions, in the context of acquisitions, restructurings, Â direct lending and leveraged finance transactions, often involving complex and bespoke debt instruments and intercreditor structures.
Robert is a member of the Czech Bar and a Registered European Lawyer in Malta. He is based in Prague and works in Malta regularly.
He is a member of the International Masters of Gaming Law. He has been repeatedly recommended in Lexology Index (Sports & Gaming) as well as IFLR 1000 (Corporate and M&A, Financial and Corporate) and has authored the Czech Gambling chapter for the International Comparative Legal Guide.Â
Robert has previously held the position of head of legal of a London based investment advisor active throughout EMEA region. Prior to that, he served as legal counsel for the largest retail bank in the Czech Republic.
Robert graduated with an LLM cum laude from the London School of Economics in 2006. He holds a Master of Laws degree from the Charles University in Prague.
