Robert joined the firm as a trainee and was made partner in 2018. During the years Robert established himself as a reference point within the firm and with clients when it comes to regulatory and compliance matters related to the gambling industry. He is entrusted within the firm with overseeing the Traineeship programme.
Robert has advised in numerous M&As and corporate/commercial deals. His other areas of expertise include intellectual property, data protection amd labour law.
Robert has been a regular speaker and moderator in gaming conferences discussing regulatory and compliance matters. Robert contributed to the Chambers Gaming Law 2023 Global Practice Guide.
Robert is a member of the Malta Chamber of Advocates and of the International Masters of Gaming Law. Robert has been listed as a Next Generation Partner in the “Commercial, Corporate and M&A” practice area in Malta in the Legal 500 EMEA Guide for the past 6 years.
Robert is also a lecturer in gaming law at the University of Malta.
Robert conducts business in English, Italian and Maltese, all of which he speaks fluently.
Education
Robert holds a Doctor of Laws degree from the University of Malta and was admitted to the Bar in Malta in 2008.
